KarateSport England is a founder member of Karate England and through this
governing body are members of the World Union of Karate Federations (WUKF) .

KarateSport England currently has a small board of directors that ensure things are run smoothly and for the benefit of all the member association/groups these are:-

Hon Vice-president. Ms Molly Samual -Leporte

Hon. Secretary. Mr Ian Cuthbert

Head of National Squads and Coaching Mr Abdu Shaher

(All KSE board members sit on the Karate England executive board.)

Objectives of KarateSport England

The objectives of the KarateSport England is to foster and promote all competitive forms of the Sport of Karate at all levels, providing opportunities for competition.

To provide a secure and fair environment for all sport minded karateka.

To have an open door policy for those wishing to get involved

To run open squad sessions with up to date sport specific training methods which encourage athletes to have freedom of expression.

To try and include interested coaches in the international process.

To try to be approachable at all times.

To have a selection process based on performance at tournaments and squad training .

To have a ranking system for all cadet and senior athletes.

To have the most successful karate competition squad in England

To have a veterans squad competing at European and world championships

To provide athletes with the opportunity of competing at both Sanbon / ippon team and team rotation (tag team) at all levels.

To provide the opportunity for kata exponents to compete in single style as well as multi-style events up to and including European and world events.

To support associations and clubs to establish and develop capacity whilst maintaining their autonomy

To develop and represent Sport/ competitive karate in all its forms resulting in improved participation and engagement
